soccer...the other international language

i arrived in ghana just in time for the world cup action...and now i know what all the fuss is about. it was amazing to watch this event in a country that really cares about soccer. kind of a combo of our super bowl and the olympics all rolled into one. very fun.

some of the guys found a place to escape and watch the games during screening

school day comes to a halt...

a crowd gathers

i'm sure they pay this much attention during algebra, too

parties spilled out into the streets after the black stars upset the US...yeah, ghana!
